About the role

The Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services team guides customers through the moments that matter most in their cloud journey to help businesses thrive

Responsibilities

  • Drive the cloud design, architecture and technical delivery across infrastructure, network, operations, application migrations
  • Engage with Architects and act as an executive technical advisor to build confidence and organize overall IT strategy aligned to the broader business needs
  • Work with the customer teams to influence acceleration of adoption of Google Cloud in a safe, secure, resilient and scalable manner and recommend best-practice architectures
  • Drive industry centric accelerators/assets/pov to create broader impact across the industry in a specific domain or a technology area
  • Provide recommendations on the customer's cloud architecture and ensure the optimal, resilient, secure and cost efficient design along with adhering to Google's best practices guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in customer-facing services focused on translating enterprise customer needs into cloud solutions
  • Experience in developing solution architectures through system design techniques
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time as required
  • Experience of engaging product organization and influencing others to work on product features to drive the overall product strategy and roadmap
  • Experience in leading various teams including engineers, architects, and technical consultants on cloud migration engagements
  • Experience creating solution architecture for various industry services workloads and considering the operational needs of an organization
  • Experience creating technology strategy, capability roadmaps, and implementation approaches for migration programs
  • Understanding of modern application migration and modernization approaches
  • Excellent organizational, investigative and influencing skills
